This is really interesting. Advocates of embryonic stem-cell research would have us to believe that there is no promise in adult stem cells. Their mantra is that only stem cells from destroyed human embryos have any therapeutic value. Here is a study that shows that adult stem cells, which do not require the death of an embryo, can be an effective treatment for final-stage heart disease. Score one for the good guys. Now, if we could only get anyone to notice...

Whaddya know, occasionally, the UN does something right.
A recent survey indicates that American college students know a lot about pop culture, but not much about “hard subjects”. Gee, what a surprise. We have been dumbing down the educational system for years, fearing that any attempt to rigorously educate our children would irreperably damage their self-esteem. I was recently watching the kids edition of the game show “Weakest Link”, and was interested that about half of the questions pertained to pop culture, mostly music and movies. I guess the SAT will soon have an "Arts & Entertainment" section, assuming of course, that they don't eliminate it all together.
"Judge me not by the color of my skin," Dr. King intoned, "but by the content of my character." It's too bad that those who claim to carry his legacy are not content with his position. They would make sure that we grant them special status to go with their skin color. Kudos to Michelle Malkin for her peice on the ongoing protests against Abercrombie & Fitch. It's unfortunate that they don't include mugshots on the web page, because she is obviously not caucasian. I could write something like this, but since I happen to be a white male, I am automatically a bigot and a racist for holding these opinions.
